TWIAs: BEST North West Wedding Band & HIGHLY COMMENDED for BEST UK BAND of 2021!
HOW DID UNDER THE COVERS BECOME INVOLVED IN TWIA?
Glad you asked! We first became involved with The Wedding Industry Awards in 2018, when we applied for Regionals. After just missing out on being crowned the winner of ‘ ’, we instead received a Highly Commended award due to how close a call it was across the panel of judges.
2019 was a very different story however & we were elated to come away as the winners of BEST North West Wedding Band of 2020!
Fast forward another year, and we are delighted to once again be BEST North West Wedding Band of 2021! And those that win the Regionals, are invited to the Nationals.
SO, YOU MADE IT TO NATIONALS! WHAT HAPPENED NEXT?
In January 2020, it was time to head to platform 6 at Manchester Piccadilly & head down to a rather different Piccadilly, where the grand National Finals were being held at the decadent Café de Paris! The venue looked incredible, as did all of our fellow National Finalists who we enjoyed much prosecco with upon arrival. It was lovely to catch up with everyone and after an hour or two of networking we gathered in the main hall where we waited in GREAT anticipation to see who 2020’s NATIONAL winners were.
A rather different story in 2021 saw us in our PJ’s in separate houses with a glass of bubbles watching the recorded awards from afar, but whilst we were sad not to be with our fellow suppliers and colleagues it was still a very rewarding evening!
HOW DOES IT FEEL TO BE HIGHLY COMMENDED (and runners up!) OF BEST UK BAND of 2020 & 2021?
Honestly? We are over the moon! We had an absolute ball with everyone at Café de Paris in our lovely capital back in 2020 and although we’re gutted that we didn’t quite steal the top spot again this year, we’d like to say a huge congratulations to our London-based winners, Flo Collective! We are INCREDIBLY proud to have got this far, and to retain the title of Best North West Wedding Band of 2021 at Regionals… so to come second place for BEST UK WEDDING BAND across the entire country for the second-year running isn’t too shabby!!

We’d just like to say a huge thank you to every one of our lovely clients who voted for us along the way, our incredible wedding musicians and to TWIA for giving us the opportunity to be a part of such a rewarding event. We’d also like to congratulate every winner along the way both at Regional & National Finals. We’re absolutely chuffed to be so closely involved in The Wedding Industry Awards each year and will definitely be going for gold again next year! 🏆
